About me
Gemma Parry
Animals and the outdoors have always been my passion. Combine that with my love for photography and that has led me to where you see me now.

I grew up in Hertfordshire where countryside was right outside my front door. As a teenager I started by studying GCSE Art which led me on to A Level photography. I then went to University, like many others, at the age of 18 and my camera went with me. At University, I pursued my love of animals studying Veterinary Nursing, leaving in 2017 with a BSc in Veterinary Nursing and have been working as a Veterinary Nurse since.

Throughout all this, wherever I went my camera went with me. A photography day at The British Wildlife Centre cemented my love for wildlife photography and that also led me to pet photography.

I moved out to the beautiful rolling hills of south Shropshire in 2019 and have been out enjoying the local nature and views since. In January of 2021 I got my own dog as you can imagine he became my main practice subject.
They say don't work with animals or children, but I disagree. I find animal behaviour fascinating and now use my knowledge I gained from my training and work as a Veterinary Nurse in both my pet photography and wildlife photography. I always put the animal's welfare first and try to capture the uniqueness of any individual through my pictures.

I regularly travel back to Hertfordshire so take bookings for both Shropshire and Hertfordshire.
